A seasoned executive and successful entrepreneur, Cecilia brings deep expertise to her Key 360 clients in the areas of strategic planning, product development and pricing, business development, business operations, customer service, and sales. Known for her exceptional ability to identify and develop top talent, she shares her experience and passion for starting and growing companies to help guide clients in their business ventures.
Recognized as a thought-leader in the travel industry, Cecilia spearheaded the development of TRAVELYTIC, the leading competitive intelligence and yield management tool for tour operators, in a collaboration between Key 360 Advisors and UK-based Align Alytics. TRAVELYTIC is now a core service used by clients worldwide. Cecilia’s more than 20 years of experience leading virtual teams, including her TRAVELYTIC team in the UK, inspired her to co-found The Virtual Leader.
Previously Cecilia was co-founder and president of Smart Destinations, which became the travel industry’s leading technology based multi-attraction pass provider with $100 million in yearly revenue. She oversaw consumer product development, market expansion, supply chain management, contract negotiations, and partner relationships. Inc. magazine recognized Smart Destinations as one of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S. for five consecutive years.
Cecilia is a coach and long-term mentor for individual entrepreneurs and through volunteering with such organizations as the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), where she served on the New England Advisory Board. She was an advisor and founding member of NextGen Leaders, a women’s leadership development program for the travel industry. Cecilia has served on a number of professional boards, including the Ataway Exchange and the U.S. Travel Association’s National Council of Attractions. She also volunteers as chairperson of corporate partnerships at the Seven Seas Cruising Association.
An experienced public speaker, Cecilia has presented at conferences nationwide, including the E Tourism Summit, Eye for Travel, One Travel Conference, The Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, and Shop America Alliance. She has guest lectured on entrepreneurship at New York University and Bentley University.
In 2005, Cecelia was honored as a recipient of Boston Business Journal’s “40 Under 40 Leaders” award. She jointly holds three patents related to Smart Destination’s proprietary electronic ticketing system.
Cecilia earned her bachelor of science degree from the University of New Hampshire, her certificate in Business Analytics from The Wharton School, and most recently her certificate in Leading Remote Teams from eCornell.

In her strategic consulting role, Katherine serves as managing director at Exemplar, leading management teams in developing corporate strategies and business plans. A natural collaborator, she has become a trusted advisor to both clients and internal colleagues alike and is often the “first call” for advice from both. As a result, she has provided strategic and financial counsel to boards, CEOs, CFOs, entrepreneurs, and business owners regarding funding, debt, and financing alternatives. Passionately client-centric, she utilizes her vast knowledge of capital structures and extensive network of relationships to ensure her clients secure the optimal financing solution.
Katherine has advised start-up through middle market stage companies on originating, structuring, and executing debt, and has placed more than $5 billion of debt financings. Previously, she served as managing director at Monroe Credit Advisors, working with clients to structure and place capital. She was also senior vice president at Bank of America in the transportation finance group, where she managed an $800 million portfolio of companies and was responsible for all aspects of the lending relationship, including deal origination, structuring, underwriting, documentation, and portfolio management.Katherine is a coach and mentor with two decades of experience overseeing and developing junior staff in core job functionality, progressive planning, and innovative thinking. She has been recognized for fostering a diverse work environment and for her leadership in bringing together disparate personalities into effective, cohesive teams.
Continually seeking improvements in process, profitability, and client satisfaction, Katherine has spearheaded projects to improve productivity, led initiatives to support industry specialization, and implemented creative solutions to increase customer retention and profitability. She is especially adept at identifying client issues and priorities and providing mutually beneficial and solutions. Katherine is also an expert in research and analysis, known for her thoughtful analysis, insight into market dynamics, and outstanding risk management skills.
